2010-2011
The prior two years resulted in over $50,000 being raised to provide water and sanitation for the people of Zambia!
Join us for the third annual Running Water 5k on May 6, 2012, (the first Sunday of each May). You get to join others in the community, get some excercise, and help provide clean water in Zambia.
Making a Difference
You can make a difference right here in Sherwood! Running Water is a 5K run/walk sponsored by Sherwood Presbyterian Church, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for orphaned and vulnerable children in the impoverished African country of Zambia who live daily with the devastating effects of extreme poverty and HIV/AIDS.
We are focused on raising funds for World Vision to build self-sustaining programs to provide nourishment, clean water, medical attention, shelter, education and vocational training to nurture and improve the lives of children living in Zambia.
We encourage all walkers to find sponsors for their walk. 100% of your registration and sponsor donations go to World Vision to support the village of Twachiyanda in providing clean water, health care, educational and vocational needs.
We want to thank all who particpated in this year's Running Water 5K. If you were a timed runner, you may view the race results to find your time.
Please patronize Running Water 5K sponsors.
