The organizations listed below are ones dedicated to working, or increasing awareness of the need, for clean water in Africa.

Water Africa — A Portland-area 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation working with World Vision to increase awareness of the need for safe water and sanitation in developing countries and to raise money to provide safe water for villagers in rural Zambia.

World Vison — A Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

H2O Africa Foundation — H2O Africa is creating widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gathering support for clean water programs in critical areas.

One.org —A grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, by raising public awareness and pressuring political leaders to support smart and effective policies and programs that are saving lives, helping to put kids in school and improving futures. Cofounded by Bono and other campaigners, ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African activists and policy makers.
